CHARLES A. VERNON NAMED CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF MCPS
The Woodlands, Texas – January 10, 2011 – Merchants’ Choice Payment Solutions (MCPS), also known as Delta Card Services, Inc., a top-ranked merchant services provider, today announced the appointment of Charles A. Vernon to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 17, 2011.
 
Mr. Vernon has been affiliated with MCPS for approximately 15 years. He served as Outside Counsel until 2001, after which he acted as In-House Counsel representing MCPS in numerous legal matters. Since 2002, Mr. Vernon has served as General Counsel to Woodforest National Bank, a $3.2 billion financial institution based in Houston, Texas. As counsel for Woodforest, Mr. Vernon has been intimately involved with the day-to-day operations of MCPS and has worked closely with the current executive team. 
 
In making the announcement of Mr. Vernon’s appointment, Robert Marling, Chairman of MCPS, stated, “We are excited that Chuck has agreed to take the position as head of this great company. His familiarity with Merchants’ Choice and his understanding of the electronic payments industry will be instrumental as we continue our rapid growth curve."
 
 TODD LINDEN NAMED CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF MCPS
The Woodlands, Texas - December 17, 2010 - Merchants' Choice Payment Solutions (MCPS), also known as Delta Card Services, a top ranked merchant services provider, today announced the promotion of Todd Linden to the position of Chief Operating Officer effective immediately.
 
Prior to joining MCPS, Mr. Linden held the position of Senior Vice President of Business Development for EVO Merchant Services.  Prior to that, Mr. Linden served as Senior Vice President and Division Manager of Operations at NPC, president and COO of Card Commerce International, and held several key management positions at Bank of America Merchant Services.
 
Mr. Linden has served on the ETA Board of Directors, the ETA Advisory Board and has chaired several industry related committees; including the ETA Government Relations Committee.
 
When asked about his new position, Mr. Linden stated, “I’m excited to be given this opportunity at such a strong, growth-oriented company.  With our recent improvements in technology, agent relationship management and product innovation MCPS is well positioned to become the next Super ISO in the payments industry.”

MERCHANTS' CHOICE PAYMENT SOLUTIONS COMPLETES CONVERSION OF ACQUIRED AGENT BANKS

The Woodlands, Texas - May 11, 2010 - Merchants' Choice Payment Solutions (MCPS), announced today that the conversion of over 200 agent banks acquired from Silverton Bank of Atlanta, Georgia has been successfully completed.  MCPS purchased the Agent Bank portfolio and several thousand merchants in October 2009. 
"The Silverton project provided us with some great insights into the resources and teamwork necessary to achieve a successful transition.  Our team gained invaluable experience and confidence as a result of this effort.  We are hopeful, and eager, to find a similar opportunity in the near future," said Stan Paur, president and CEO of Merchants' Choice Payment Solutions.
Paur added that MCPS intends to leverage its relationships with bankers and financial industry associations to expand their agent banking program.  The MCPS Agent Bank Program delivers premium payment processing products and services behind the scenes enabling financial institutions to focus on their core business banking relationships.  MCPS has become a trusted partner with our agent banks by providing state-of-the-art technology with innovative payment solutions.
 
MERCHANTS' CHOICE PAYMENT SOLUTIONS ACQUIRES SILVERTON BANK PORTFOLIO OF AGENT BANKS
The Woodlands, Texas - November 9, 2009 - Merchants' Choice Payment Solutions (MCPS), announced the acquisition of the portfolio of agent bank relationships from Silverton Bank in Atlanta, Georgia.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to serve Silverton's agent banks and their merchant customers,” said Stan Paur, president and CEO of Merchants’ Choice Payment Solutions. “We will be working with the Silverton staff to insure an efficient and seamless transition over the next few months. I believe the financial institutions and their merchants will be very pleased with the levels of support and the quality of service they receive from MCPS.”
The acquisition brings Silverton’s agent banks and merchant customers into an existing network that delivers premium payment processing behind the scenes while banks retain their business banking relationships. The move adds several hundred banking institutions and several thousand merchants to the MCPS agent bank program. MCPS offers a wide array of credit, debit, check, and other payment services across multiple industries.  Paur added that the acquisition of the Silverton portfolio represents the first of a number of initiatives to expand the MCPS agent bank and merchant bank program.
 
The integration will continue through the end of the year as Merchants’ Choice works to provide immediate value for their new merchant customers and agent bank partners. 
 
 

MERCHANTS' CHOICE ANNOUNCES CORPORATE REBRANDING INITIATIVE

The Woodlands, Texas – August 3, 2009 — Merchants’ Choice Card Services (MCCS), a top-ranked merchant services provider sponsored by Woodforest National Bank, announced that effective today it is has changed its name to Merchants’ Choice Payment Solutions (MCPS).  

Stan Paur, MCPS’ new President and CEO states, “Merchants’ Choice Payment Solutions was chosen as our new name because it truly reflects the fact that our company has expanded beyond just credit card payment processing to the ability to provide an array of credit, debit and other payment services.”

Robert E. Marling, Jr., Chairman of MCPS and CEO of Woodforest National Bank said, “This year MCPS is celebrating our 20th year in the payment processing industry and the fact that we have grown to be one of the premiere merchant acquirers. We feel this change in corporate identity demonstrates the breadth of our product and service offerings and our future strategic direction.”

Our new business identity incorporates an expansion of products and services as well as a new corporate web address and email domain with mcpscorp.com.  MCPS has nearly 100 employees and over 300 sales offices providing electronic payment solutions to merchants including but not limited to retailers, restaurants, physicians, dentists, gas stations and convenience stores, auto repair facilities, lodging, beauty/barber shops, medical services, and veterinarians.
